Customer Information & Booking Policy

Thank you for choosing Badgers Taxi!
Here’s what you need to know when you book a journey with us:


✅ Booking & Payment

  • You can book a taxi in advance by phone, email, our website, or app.
  • For some private hire bookings (especially longer trips, airport runs or weekend bookings), we may ask for full or part payment when you book. Prepayments are subject to our standard cancellation & refund terms below.
  • Payments can be made by cash, card, or other accepted methods.

Cancellations & Refunds

We understand plans can change!

  • Cancel more than 48 hours before pickup → Full refund
  • Cancel between 48–24 hours before pickup → 75% refund
  • Cancel between 24–2 hours before pickup → 50% refund
  • Cancel less than 2 hours before pickup or don’t show → No refund

Refunds (where due) are returned to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 working days.


⏱️ Waiting Time

  • We include a short grace period (around 5 minutes).
  • If your driver needs to wait longer, extra charges may apply – we’ll always be upfront about this.
  • Waiting time after the grace period will be charged at £45 per hour pro rata (that’s £0.75 per minute so try to be on time).

️ Metered vs Fixed Fares

  • Hackney carriage journeys (picked up at taxi ranks or hailed) are charged at the prevailing Badgers Taxi rate.
  • Private hire bookings (pre-booked trips) are usually quoted as fixed fares at the time of booking.

Safety & Conduct

  • No smoking, alcohol, or illegal substances in the vehicle.
  • Please wear your seatbelt.
  • We may refuse service to anyone whose behaviour threatens safety or if we feel they are inebriated beyond reasonable behaviour. The drivers decision is final in this, we will not risk the safety of our drivers, members of the public or other passengers.

Lost Property

If you leave something behind, let us know as soon as possible – we’ll do our best to reunite you with your belongings.

  • We always do our best to get you to your destination safely and on time but can’t be held responsible for delays outside our control (e.g., traffic, weather).
